There's always something happening in Novigrad
From spring to late autumn, Novigrad lives around tables set up by the harbor, concerts on the square and festivities that bring the whole town together. Depending on when you visit, you can taste seasonal specialties at Gnam Gnam Fest, watch the starry sky when the town lights go out, or dance to live music on the feast day of the town's patron saint.
Events you shouldn't miss
Gnam Gnam fest
From May to October, Novigrad sets up a table around a hundred meters long around the harbor. The festival consists of ten weekend events, each dedicated to one seasonal ingredient, with local olive oils and Istrian wines. Come hungry and stay late.
Lunasa Astro Party
On the first of August, Novigrad switches off its street lights so the starry sky can shine in all its glory. Stargazing is accompanied by music performances and astronomy talks, and the old town becomes an open-air observatory.
Festa of St. Pelagius
At the end of August, Novigrad celebrates its patron saint, St. Pelagius. For three days, live music rings through the town's streets, people dance until late, and homemade food is prepared and served outdoors.
