Midsummer Bonfire (Ivanjski krijes)

Two large bonfires are lit, one on each bank of the Kupa River. This is the oldest event in Karlovac and one of the most photogenic ones (23 June).

They say beer is the fifth Karlovac river—enjoy it during this popular 5-day festival with great music, exhibitions, and flowing beer.

Summer Under the Stars

One of the town’s biggest events, starting with the bonfires and culminating with the birthday ball on 13 July, bringing a wealth of activities and life to the town.

Fog Festival

„U karlovačkoj magli nitko nije ugly” (No one is ugly when fog rolls into Karlovac) is the rhyming motto of this festival held in the first week of November and offering foggy workshops, night-time walks, exhibitions and lectures.
